Silly Vegetarians… Meat is for humans.

I am not a militant person. There are things that upset me and there are things that I feel the need to raise my voice and feel the need to be heard.

Hello. My name is Ezra and I am an omnivoure.

I eat everything, as nature intended. I feel that every time that I make an affirmation of my love of meat in front of vegetarians, or even worse, vegans, that I am being judged. I’m not going to try to bolster my statement with grandiose claims that you can not find adequate nutrition in nature by not consuming animals, although, you can’t.

I’m not going to state that the animals that people want to try to save aren’t going to be, because they were raised for that specific purpose and your not eating them, doesn’t mean that I won’t.

I’m not going to state that the cruel bombings and abhorrent treatment of animal research facilities and their employees isn’t domestic terrorism, though it is.

I love meat. There are so so so many magical and near subliminal, if not divine, preparations for every single living creature. Foie Gras, Duck Confit, Force Meats, a Rare Delmonico with a Madeira reduction. I could go on for days.

This is that beautiful circle of life. They consume life, i.e. plants, and bugs, and plankton, and each other, and I consume them. It’s a hierarchy of needs. I need to be fed, I realize that need, and upon that notion, I am able to pursue higher truths.

I’m not about to eat my dog, although, in a life or death situation, I would, because I find companionship there. I have had pet fish and dogs and ducks. I have eaten both fish and duck, not my own, and have enjoyed them thoroughly.

This is yet another rant. But it is also a Declaration. I will not be deterred, nor made to feel guilty about my love of animals. They are fucking delicious.

Skål. Ezra
